A children’s book favorite of teachers and students alike is, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems. Students love any of the Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus books! With 9 books in total in the Piegon series, there’s a favorite book for every type of reader. Toward the end of the school year, I like to read books that students love to listen to because we all know that it’s harder to keep their attention by the end of the school year. You can’t go wrong with any of Mo Willems’ books including, The Pigeon Needs a Bath.
A Pigeon Needs A Bath Craft
In the story, The Pigeon Needs a Bath, the pigeon doesn’t want to take a bath that he clearly needs. It is up to the reader to convince the pigeon to take a bath. It will be a difficult task to convince the pigeon to take a bath because he lists all the reasons in the world as to why he doesn’t need one.
If you’re looking for a pigeon craft for kids, I have a free craft just for you and your students to do. The pigeon craft does go along with this book, The Pigeon Needs a Bath. The bath pigeon craft is super easy to complete and doesn’t take much prep time for teachers. It can easily be done after a read aloud.
