I don’t know about you, but my students are always looking for new books to read in the classroom. This is especially true in the winter when it’s a little colder outside and we need some more indoor activities. In the winter, I find that it’s nice to focus on books about winter animals or books about Arctic animals.
As it turns out, there are a whole lot of books about winter animals out there. It’s hard to know where to start! Since there are many wonderful options if you’re looking for books about winter animals, I’d like to share a few of my favorite ones!

If you’re looking for more books about Arctic animals, specifically the penguin, check out The Little Penguin by A.J. Wood. This book is all about a cute little gray fluffball. When you’re searching for books about Arctic animals, but you’re really just looking for another book about polar bears, you’ll definitely want to check out this book called I wish I was a Polar Bear by Jennifer Bove. This book shows what it’s like if you look a little different from those around you and helps you come to love yourself for who you are. This little penguin tries everything just to be normal, but will he learn that he’s perfect just the way he is? You’d better read it to find out!
Focused Books About Winter Animals in the Arctic
If you’re looking for more books about Arctic animals, look no further! Amazing Arctic Animals by Jackie Glassman is a great level 3 reader that really draws the eye! Let’s face it. When people are searching for books about winter animals or books about Arctic animals, chances are they’re looking for a book about penguins!
