Spring break is just around the corner and you’ve probably been counting down the days since the first day back from Christmas break. Every year I have to decide on how I should spend my teacher spring break. Should I do nothing but relax, be productive, or possibly go on vacation. Are you looking for some teacher tips on what to do over spring break? Here you will find 13 ways on how to spend your spring break.
- Vacation: The most important thing you must decide is whether you are going to go on vacation or stay at home. If you go on vacation, you must decide on whether you will take the whole week or just a mini vacation somewhere. Going on vacation is expensive, so if you plan ahead you can save money rather than purchasing everything last minute. A few popular vacation ideas are Florida, Colorado, Cruise, or visiting family or friends.
- Stay Vacation: If planning a vacation is not possible, plan a stay vacation. Find something new to do in your town that you have never done before. Be a tourist in your town for the day.
- Don’t set an alarm: The one thing I love about any type of break is turning off my alarm. I’m sure glad alarms exist but boy do I hate for it to go off every morning. So unless you have an important event happening, turn off the alarm for the week.
- Sleep In: This goes along with not setting an alarm but it’s so important to catch up on rest. Take the time and sleep in. You will thank yourself when school starts again.
- Read a Book: It is always nice to be able to escape from school, so take your mind off things and read a book during the break.
- Binge watch: My friends always tell me about this amazing tv show that they’re watching. I usually don’t have time during the school year to add something more to my plate. I always jot down their suggestion and spend some time during the break binge watching some new show.
- Friends Day: I’m not sure about you, but if I stay home all week I will be bored to tears, so I make sure I set up a girl’s day before spring break ends. It’s always nice to be able to spend time and catch up with friends.
- Spa Day: Things become more stressful as the school year gets closer to the end of the year. Take time to relax and go to a spa. Treat yourself to a massage, or maybe a pedicure instead.
- Spring Cleaning: I can relax more if I know my house is clean and organized. Take some time to clean or organize something in your house.
- Spend time outdoors: Its been a long winter cooped up inside. Go for a walk, ride a bike, or visit a lake or a beach. If you’re feeling adventurous, go visit a National or state park.
- Dr. Appointments: I know this doesn’t seem exciting but staying healthy is important. Take care of yourself and make some of your doctor or dentist appointments that you have been neglecting all school year.
- Exercise Routine: Nothing makes me feel more refreshed and relaxed than after a good workout. Exercising is good for your health.
- Plan your summer break: Nothing is more depressing than realizing that spring break is over. I always tend to spend my last day off planning for my summer break. It gives me something positive to look forward to.
