Leaves by David Ezra Stein
In this book, students explore the season of fall through the eyes of a baby bear. He worries when the leaves start falling off the trees and tries to put them back. The bear hibernates, then gets to experience everything growing anew in the spring. This book about fall for preschoolers shows them that even though fall seems sad with everything dying, spring is just around the corner with new growth. Your kiddos at home or students at school will get to experience the seasons in a new way through the bear’s eyes.
Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert
As a Caldecott Winner, your little ones will get to experience the amazing story as well as the award-winning illustrations with real life leaves in this fall book. The author makes the voyage of a collection of fallen leaves seem magical and exciting. The leaf man must go where the wind blows, so he does. First, he floats east with the wind by the marsh, then abruptly follows a westwardly gust over the orchards. You never know which way the leaf man will go or what he will see next in this amazing children’s book about fall.
